The standard vehicle traffic lights, have 3 light fields of size Φ200 or Φ300 mm, in a vertical arrangement, with red/yellow/green indicators, either as a light disc, or with positive symbols: arrow left, arrow up-left, arrow up, arrow up-right, arrow right, with LED light sources, low voltage 230 VAC, receiving their electrical supplying from below field. In other variants, they may have the addition of an additional field, with a countdown timer, as well as light sources with incandescent or halogen lamps for old installations. A2. Pedestrians traffic lights for controlling at road junction

A3. Warning traffic lights for road hazard

The bicycle traffic lights have 3 light fields, in a vertical arrangement, with indicators red/yellow/green, size Φ100 as a light disk, or size Φ200 mm: with positive symbols: only the bicycle sign, or in combination: bicycle-arrow left, bicycle-arrow right, pedestrian stagnant-bicycle, pedestrian mobility-bicycle, with LED light sources, low voltage 230 VAC. In other variants, in the Φ200 mm size, they may have the addition of an additional field, with a countdown timer, as well as light sources with incandescent lamps for old installations. A5. Urban public transports traffic lights for controlling at road junction

The standard urban public transports traffic lights, have 3 light fields of size Φ200, in a vertical arrangement, with red/yellow/green indicators, with negative symbols of a special form, such as a bus, with LED light sources, low voltage 230 VAC. In other variations, they may have the addition of an additional field, with a countdown indicator, as well as light sources with incandescent or halogen lamps for old installations. The standard tram traffic lights, have 3 light fields of size Φ200, in a vertical arrangement, with white indicators and positive symbols: horizontal line, circle, inclined line 315o, vertical line, inclined line 45o, with LED light sources, low voltage 230 VAC, receiving their electrical supply, from below field. A7. Countdown timers traffic lights for road junction

The countdown timers are an addition, to vehicle or pedestrian traffic lights, for road traffic control at a junction, have 1 light field of size Φ200 or Φ300 mm, with LED light source, low voltage 230 VAC and display the remaining time, until the end of the red or green light indication. The system works accurately at junctions where the controllers apply fixed-time programs, while at junctions where the controllers apply activated programs, the accuracy of the system is conditional.

 

 

A8. Lane control traffic lights

The standard lane traffic lights, have 2 up to 4 light fields of Φ200 or Φ300 mm size, in a horizontal arrangement, with indications of either a red/green light disc, or with positive symbols: red “X”, yellow arrow below-left, green arrow below, yellow arrow below-right, with LED light sources or incandescent or halogen lamps, low voltage 230 VAC. AC. Special-applications traffic lights

The special- applications traffic lights, have light fields of Φ200 or Φ300 mm, with LED light sources or incandescent or halogen lamps, low voltage 230 VAC and are applied in cases of special road crossings, such as horse riders, students, waiters, animals, either as a warning or normal traffic control.

 

 

AE. Railroad crossings light signals

The railroad crossings light signals, are sets with 2 vehicle signals with 1 light field of size Φ200 mm, with red light disk indicators, with LED light sources, incandescent or halogen lamps, extra-low voltage 12 VAC or low voltage 230 VAC, which is surrounded by a black circular shape contrast frame. The 2 vehicle signals are connected to each other with a suspension arm, which has a connector for hanging them on a vertical pole.

 

 

AF. Airfield vehicles traffic lights

The standard airfield vehicles traffic lights, for vehicle traffic control on airstrips, have 2 light fields of size Φ200, in a horizontal arrangement as WIG WAG with yellow/yellow indications, or in a vertical arrangement as traffic light with red/green indications, with LED light sources, incandescent or halogen lamps, low voltage 230 VAC or current 6.6 A, which have a suspension system for 2” pole.

 

 

AG. Artistic expression traffic lights

The artistic expression traffic lights, have 1 or more light fields of size Φ200 or Φ300 mm, with positive or negative symbols, with messages or signs, intended to attract attention, for artistic, decorative, advertising or political reasons. They bring business logos, call-to-actions, symbols, or other graphics intended to convey messages.

 

 

AH. Traffic lights arrays

The traffic lights arrays, are sets consist of 2 or more traffic lights, connected to each other, with customized components and are intended to implement a standardized application, which contains, in addition to traffic lights and other equipment such as contrast frame and a suspension system.

 

 

 

AK. Warning rail light signals

The standard warning rail light signals, have 1 or 2 light fields of Φ200 mm size, in a vertical arrangement, with indicators in a moon-white shade, with LED or halogen light sources, extra-low voltage 12 VAC, receiving their electrical supply from below. The rail light signals are surrounded by a black circular shape contrast frame and is connected to a vertical pole with a special suspension system to adjust the viewing angles.

 

 

B1. Internal timing flashers

The internal timing flashers are electronic circuits, which are installed inside the warning traffic lights and provide a pulse of adjustable frequency, for simultaneous in all their fields or alternatives between their fields, on and off, and thus convert their indications of the warning traffic lights into pulsating.

 

 

 

B2. Traffic light contrast frames

The contrast frames of traffic lights, provide during the day and especially when the sun appears behind the traffic lights, an enlarged dark environment around the traffic light, providing contrast to the surrounding brightness of the sun, resulting in better visibility of the light indications of traffic light. B3. Traffic lights mounting

There is a wide variety of items for the installation of traffic lights, which are applied depending on the arrangement of the traffic light, in relation to the morphology of its installation location. In general, traffic lights are installed with posts or through top support from vertical poles, with support from walls or the sides of an elliptical tunnel, with suspension from a horizontal arm, cantilever or ceiling, with installation on a curb, with installation inside a sign and with suspension from wire ropes above the road. Single, semi-double or double brackets are available, with normal or long extension, with curved, circular or flat bases, of corresponding diameters, so that they can be successfully connected to their installation location. C1. Traffic light poles

The traffic light poles are available either as verticals: in cylindrical or telescopic cylindrical form, or with single horizontal arm: in telescopic cylindrical or hexagonal truncated pyramid form. Their installation is done either by impregnation, or with a seat base, or with a portable base. The diameter of the vertical poles is usually Φ115 mm, while the horizontal arms are usually Φ89 mm. C2. Complexes of traffic lights on pole

The complexes of traffic lights are standardized sets of equipment, which except of traffic lights, may include contrast frames, suspension systems, pole, signs, bells or electronic equipment such as detection cameras, photo-sensors or activated push buttons.

 

 

C3. Road traffic light controllers

The road traffic light controllers, are the central electronic system, that determines the operating program of the traffic lights of a junction. It is installed in a cabinet near the junction and distributes the electrical current of the network in a controlled way through cables, to all the traffic lights, safely, according to their operating programs. The controllers consist of the cabinet, the electrical protection device, the rack with backplane card, the power supply card, the CPU card, the power outputs cards, the weak inputs and outputs card, the display with the keyboard, the outputs cables terminal block and the manual panel. The size of the traffic light control devices, is upgraded with more power outputs cards and outputs cables terminal block, depending on the number of signal groups, required by the junction operation program. If is deemed appropriate, the controller can manage more than one junction independently, for reasons of flexibility of their operating program, reduction of the extent of faults and higher safety. The tangible outcome of the operation of a junction, is provided by the quality of the infrastructure, the visible traffic light equipment, the detectors and the controller, combined with the quality of the study and configuration programming

 

C4. Access traffic light controllers

The access traffic light controllers, are electronic devices, that receive detections in weak inputs, which they process, according to the software they have, and give commands to traffic lights, through power outputs, or commands to other devices through weak outputs. They are widely used in access applications or traffic management in parking or vehicle crossing applications. They have pre-configured software, in which the user implements the settings required for the application, providing security and excellent service in managing the traffic of the area being installed. C6. Timing flashers for electrical panels

The timing flashers for electrical panels, are electronic devices used for flashing in warning traffic lights. The timing flashers are installed inside electrical panel and provide a pulse of adjustable frequency, for simultaneous in all their fields or alternatives between their fields, on and off, and thus convert the indications of the warning traffic lights into pulsating. C7. Pedestrian push buttons

The pedestrian push buttons, are installed when required, on traffic lights poles, located at pedestrian crossings, in order to activated the pedestrian calls to receive priority, with a green indication on the pedestrian traffic lights. They are anti-vandal type boxes and have a pressure button either visible or illuminated that is activated after a call.

 

 

C9. Inductive Loops vehicle detectors

The inductive loop, are coils etched into the road surface that are monitored by vehicle detectors, that are inductively disturbed by passing metal objects such as the vehicles. The inductive vehicle detectors, provide detections in commands format, to traffic controller, that it manages, according to the receptors available in its programming. Thus, the traffic controller, performing the appropriate functions, through the appropriate indications to the traffic lights, improves traffic management.

 

 

CA. Traffic detection cameras

The traffic detection cameras, are installed in elevated positions, such as on masthead or arm of traffic light poles, to obtain views of vehicles or pedestrians. Traffic detection cameras are electronic devices that use Doppler, microwave or Radar technology, providing detections in commands format, to the traffic controller, which it manages, according to the receptors available in its programming and executing the appropriate functions, to the indications of traffic lights, improves traffic management.

CB. Fixed traffic data collection devices

Fixed traffic data collection devices are permanently connected to inductive vehicle detectors or traffic detection cameras, with the aim of collecting and recording traffic data on roads, regarding the load and speed of vehicles on them.

CC. Urban traffic control systems

The urban traffic control systems, are integrated systems, that host groups of traffic light controllers, that they monitor, manage, activate or submit. The urban traffic control systems are systems of various levels, such as surveillance, management or dynamic adaptation and are applied depending on the form and location of installations, in relation to their infrastructure, equipment, software, study and configuration.
